Mark your calendars and get ready for the return of one of the original members of KODO. Those of you who attended Tomida-San's workshops last year know how great he is!

Kazuaki Tomida is one of the original "Ondekoza" members that went on to found "Kodo." He has since left Kodo and currently plays solo shows and teaches taiko around the Tokyo area. Emeryville Taiko is hosting Tomida-San for a week of workshops in the Bay Area and for a special performance on October 18th.

This is a rare opportunity for young people to learn from a master drummer from Japan. Translation will be provided, but Tomida-san's jovial and expressive teaching style is easily understood by all. No experience necessary. Call the dojo, (510) 654-6415, to reserve you place.
